11/07/2010 - New Manager Interview

As a new Manager has taken up the reins this season Plaistow Fc thought it would be a good idea to take a few minutes and interview the new man in charge.  Also this season Plaistow Fc will look to interview the players and get to know abit more about them and what makes them tick. So look forward to updates over the coming weeks and find out about your team this season.

Hi Marc.

Hi to everyone at Plaistow Fc.

Firstly Marc how do you feel now that you have taken over the managers position from Deano this season?

Really pleased thanks, I am really looking forward to getting started now that we have played the Billingshurst 5aside.  I can't wait for pre season and the proper season to start.

So Marc what can we expect this season, is there going to be any new changes that your looking to make happen?

Well as you know unfortunatly we got relegated last season so the aim has to be to go up and I want to do that playering decent passing attacking football.  We have worked over the summer to try find some new younger players and have hopefully added some new players to our squad.  We played three new players in the Billingshurst 5aside and they all played really well.  I believe we need to freshen up with some younger squad members so hopefully these players will be the ones we need.

What else can we expect this season then, any other good ideas up your sleave?

Well I believe we need to get the best from our experienced players.  We will look to get our players fitter and hopefully get them abit more confident so we can get the best from the likes of Gilling, Brazier, Clark and a few others.  As everyone knows these players are our match winners so we need them at their best.

That all sounds great, can we expect anything to change off the pitch?

Well I am glad to be able to say that the team has picked up a new sponsor and that over the coming months we will be working with them and the money they will be giving us to do a number of things.  There will be something annouced about this soon.  This year the club will also look to do much more off the pitch to make sure that this club isnt just about football but that it has a good social side to it as well.  We already have plans in place to do a club quiz night.  As well as that we will look to do a few more team nights out.  Don't worry this will include other things than just a curry!!

Thanks alot Marc for coming and talking to us.  Good luck over the season.
