27/05/2010 - The Man Has Spoken!
New manager Marc Hobden has brought to us a few points and an update of how things are going at the moment.
*1 - The summer league is nearly here, word is that the league will kick off on June 8th. Marc will be in contact soon for those all involved. Though support is welcome.
*2 - Friendlies. Things are in motion with potential games for the pre-season against Ashington, Billingshurst and Dunsfold. Keep an eye on the website for more details on this.
*3 - New signings. Over the course of the last few months Plaistow FC have spoke with a number of potential new signings. A few people have verbally committed themselves to the club and with the core of the team re-signing things look interesting for the new season. Of course any player of non-player is welcome to join the club in some capacity.
*4 - There has been big talk to bring in new training wear for the squad. The idea is that everyone will pay a signing on fee of £15/20 and with that the player gets two training tops.
*5 - New Sponsorship. The club is currently in active talks with a number of potential sponsors to help take the club forward. If anybody involved with club can ask people they think would be interested in contributing, then please do so. If we don't ask then we don't get.
* 6 - YOU!! - Only you the players, supporters and the Plaistow community can make the club better. Let's make this season a great one and enjoy not only the football but the social side of things too. Part of this season the club will have a number of nights out and hopefully some fundraising events too.
