30/11/2009 - Lacklustre performance see Plaistow Lose Again.

Plaistow after having two weeks off due to weather and no fixture, faced Newdigate II away like they were having a third weekend off.

The away side never looked like getting going in the first half except for a couple of chances midway through the first half. Newdigate passed the ball around well and showed that they hadn't missed much action in the two weeks that Plaistow had but at half time the score remained 0-0.

The second half remained the same until Newdigate scored a tap in from their left winger. Plaistow's heads didn't go down and went looking for the equaliser. With Plaistow pressing well to find their goal, it left them open at the back and Newdigate scored two quick goals on the counter attack. Still trying to restore some pride Plaistow continued to attack and substitute Pierre Hazelwood went close on a couple of occasions. Unfortunately for the Stow, Newdigate grabbed a fourth and the game was done and dusted.

Big thanks goes to Adam Light who put on the gloves to be a last minute keeper.

What can be taken from the game is that Plaistow are now in a relegation dog fight. All players must take account for the club being in the position it is and must make the effort to help turn things around.

See you all at training Wednesday!
