Some interesting results on the opening day of the season. Billingshurst Athletic showed that they want to be promotion contenders with a 8-2 thumping away to West Chilt Reserves. Southwater III also showed that they are not going to be the whipping boys this time round as they beat promotion hunters Cowfold IV.
Slinfold II turned up to Plaistow with a pretty decent looking squad and took the fight to the Blue N White Army for the whole 90 minutes. Chris Brazier's header decided the contest late on giving the home side a 2-1 win.
