Echo Marc's comments, great to bounce back after last weekend! If only we had played like we did today then last week could have been so much different! Daniel, Horsham Saturday 14th January 2012 11:13:25 PM Good to bounce straight back to winning ways. Good team performance, well done lads. marc, home Saturday 14th January 2012 10:40:45 PM Great result today. The defence was solid, best I have seen the two full backs play for a long time! Gilling and Brazier commanded the midfield too! Lord Toffee, Shillinglee Saturday 14th January 2012 08:54:02 PM Good luck to you in Wales Pete! Good luck to the stow this Saturday! Bring home the 3 points! Hoooooo!! "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, USA!! USA!! USA!! Friday 6th January 2012 11:55:48 PM Hi Guys, It's with regret that after 5 and a half seasons with the mighty Stow, I am putting in a transfer request. I have now moved to Wales, so Billi on a Wednesday isn\'t quite as handy as it used to be. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to say goodbye in person, but the Christmas break got in the way. I have really enjoyed playing for Stow and wish you all the best for the rest of the season. I will keep an eye on your promotion push. All the best. Pete Pete, Wales Thursday 5th January 2012 09:05:29 PM Great way to end 2011 with a win and 3 points. Well played lads! Daniel, In the Penthouse Sunday 18th December 2011 09:31:44 PM Hi I'm baz not my real name cos I'm too much of a girl to leave it. I also think I'm funny but again I'm not. But I am a complete tool Baz, that place Friday 16th December 2011 12:38:15 AM After reading the match report it does sound like you were unlucky. It sounds like you have some serious injuries at the moment too. Nothing you can do about that. Heard training numbers have been on the up too and its a good fun work out. Well done tony, Newbridge Sunday 11th December 2011 02:05:39 PM Oh a draw with local rivals who are third from bottom. Expecting a very quiet week for the website..perhaps the odd article on how you were robbed of a result..?? Tony, Newbridge Sunday 11th December 2011 07:33:56 AM Would never say that Plaistow FC are bad sports! Bit harsh to say that, as it was the manager openly said that he got it wrong for the match when they were beaten by a good West Chilt side. Obviously Tony is losing sleep over the Plaistow website not being updated this week (poor chap!) maybe its just that the website admin man has had a busy week at work?!But then again if Tony is that desperate for some news maybe PFCW can update the site with some pointless news or maybe they can offer him some counselling?! Phil, Durfold Wood Saturday 10th December 2011 01:22:24 AM A loss and the website goes so so quiet. Come on get on with it, always the same. Or are you bad sports?? Need info win , lose or draw....whats the point otherwise Tony, Newbridge Friday 9th December 2011 04:19:00 PM Hi Please can I have a retro shirt. They look so much better than my teams kit. I just know you are going to get promoted this season. I wish a could come play for you. Good luck sat alfold fan, i wish i was a plaistow fan Friday 2nd December 2011 06:36:08 PM Important win yesterday everyone. Great gift for a loved one this xmas. marc, plaistow Wednesday 23rd November 2011 09:20:50 AM and i would concentrate on trying to get out of div 5 again rather then slating other managers like a school child! Alfold!, Tuesday 22nd November 2011 09:48:21 PM message for peter pan..love the fact you think you have it so good at alfold.i know for a fact that some of your players think your shite manager..suggest you concentrate on staying up rather than trying to get a reaction out of us....we just think your pathetic!!much lovexxx keano, cranleigh Monday 21st November 2011 06:53:59 PM Sorry I'm such a nob must be cos I play with fairies. I know that any team can lose on any given day especially given that you had 4 key players out. Sorry again Peter Pan peter pan, plaistow Monday 21st November 2011 06:17:51 PM It's all gone quiet in the Plaistow camp, how did you get on Saturday against fellow promotion hopefuls Horsham Baptists? Win or buckle under pressure? Peter Pan, Monday 21st November 2011 04:53:31 PM massive game tommorow lads!! lets get up for it!! also would like to say a huge congrats to my mate dan hobden aka \'nobby\' for getting his book published..come on the stow!!! plaistow no1, cranleigh Friday 18th November 2011 06:28:10 PM Well done Plaistow on your win yesterday! Keep the good results coming! Mel, Horsham Sunday 13th November 2011 11:06:28 AM Two weeks ago we played against a very good Henfield side in the Tony Kopp Cup. One of their players that day was a lad called Ben Bray, he scored from a corner in the first half. I would just like to say that on behalf of everyone at Plaistow FC, that our thoughts are with his family and friends. He ran us ragged all Saturday afternoon and I now hope he is scoring bags full of goals on the grandest pitch of them all. Dan Hobden, Plaistow FC Friday 11th November 2011 11:47:41 AM Ca,The Great One doesn't need the no.3 shirt to play left back. Any shirt number will do. The Great One will always put in 100% for Plaistow FC! Up the Stow and your Movember campaign! ;) The Great One, Everywhere Thursday 10th November 2011 10:58:47 AM Good luck for the game this weekend, keep the good work up and stick up em ! Dean "hatchet" Rogers, Kingston Thursday 10th November 2011 09:17:10 AM Carl aka stretch aka car. You had a good game mate especially the second half. You had that no8 in your pocket. With Deano away next week there's a chance to make one of the full spots yours. Results went our way this week lads let's make the most of it. marc, loxwood Sunday 6th November 2011 08:50:35 PM I thought my name may get a reaction from certain parties, they know who they as you will do at the end of this message. An enjoyable game this weekend and my first 90 minutes I can remember playing for the \"stow\", great to get a chance at right back in \"Mitchell\'s\" absence, and to fill the gap at left back after D Hobden went off, I presume due to injury and not sulking about his no:3. Now I just need to play central midfield and goal keeper, before i have filled every position on the pitch in one season. Now onto another important subject. #Movember those who wish to donate to this good cause, please visit http://Mobro.co/carlsadecki pics of my efforts so far can be found there and Facebook. New no:3, Horsham Sunday 6th November 2011 07:37:09 PM Shame I have to miss licking the sweat off the lads after the game this week :( Dean Rogers, Crawley Friday 4th November 2011 01:46:23 PM I can't wait to see the guys win again and a celebrate in style in the showers ..... Dan Hobden, North Horsham Thursday 3rd November 2011 12:03:57 PM I've just moved to the area from up north and I'm looking for a team, I hear you are the best team locally, where can I apply for a trial? Jenson Gibson, Horsham Friday 28th October 2011 11:41:38 AM Key to playing well is training. Let's all make it down this week. If you have any friends or know someone who'd like to join in then bring them along. Everyone is welcome. marc, plaistow Tuesday 25th October 2011 12:50:33 PM I'm currentky @ another local club and I'm not happy is it true you will accept me back or new players? Please keep this quiet. Mickey Ilikcocu, Billingshurst Tuesday 25th October 2011 12:29:29 PM Great win for your team Mr Hobden, make sure you keep up the good work that you are doing! Mary, Chiddingfold - The Real Fold! Monday 24th October 2011 01:56:23 PM Well done lads good football and a good win. Let's take this forward and go on a good run. manager, plaistow Sunday 23rd October 2011 10:59:12 AM The Sun sounds good to me - it can be a treble celebration as we look forward to playing our near neighbours again following their imminent relegation - will miss that game this season. Wendy, Alfold Friday 21st October 2011 01:53:27 PM How about drowning your sorrows in 'The Sun' when promotion slips away once more, the board will be after blood, surely??? Peter Pan, Friday 21st October 2011 08:53:25 AM I agree the dogs would be good. Hope everyone is up for this weekend. We get back on track this weekend!! Manager, edinburgh Thursday 20th October 2011 06:54:41 PM I also agree that a night out at the races would be a good laugh! MVP Of Plaistow FC, The Nags Head, Peckham Thursday 20th October 2011 01:33:21 PM the dogs sounds like fun to me paul, horsham Thursday 20th October 2011 11:32:14 AM You know what, i love the Railway in Billy and we go there so often - its close to our hearts. Can we go there? Great night out Ernies mate Bernie, Boston, USA Wednesday 19th October 2011 03:48:03 PM Christmas! Yes, you read that correctly, in particular I am talking Christmas Function. Before we know it the mid season break will be upon us and I thought that it may be worth raising what we do, particularly if we are interested in going somewhere other than Billingshurst, with most venues rapidly being booked up. Open for debate and alternative suggestions, but I am putting forward the idea of a Night at the Dogs. Any alternative suggestions? Social Secretary, Stow Tuesday 18th October 2011 01:47:59 PM Great to see Dan Hobden back from injury and fit to play again! Keep up the good work on your road to recovery Dan! David B, Horsham Monday 17th October 2011 09:15:58 PM Found your website accidently, but have come to follow your team by internet. Am I the first Plaistow soccer fan in America? Frank, St.Louis. MO. USA Monday 17th October 2011 09:13:58 PM I have been watching your team from the sidelines for the last few weeks and have been very impressed with some of your play. your gifted left winger has particularly impressed me. good luck for the rest of the season and get that boy signed up on a pay as you play contract, some of his skill and workrate is fantastic. jimmy johnson, crawley Friday 14th October 2011 02:51:59 PM I've heard the transfer has broken down... Marc's demands of white chocolate mice, a pair of new wellies and some mittens were declined by the secretary! Peter Pan, Venus Friday 7th October 2011 01:55:28 PM Rumour heard from Alfold HQ , Transfer rumour Fold weighing up bid for Mark Hobden for player/manager if results don't improve quickly. Fold ! Ivor Hardon, Alfold Friday 7th October 2011 10:37:02 AM While watching my beloved blue n\' white army huff and puff, but ultimately fail to get the ball across the goal line in the punishing heat of saturday afternoon, against a very resolute Horsham Baptiste side, I couldn\'t help but notice the presence of a local rival manager patrolling the sidelines. Surely the Plaistow board are not getting itchy trigger fingers this soon and looking at a mangergerial change to what I think has been a steady if unspectacular start to the season. If I believe what I read that this rival manager is having a difficult start to the season - then is there any truth in the rumour that he may have been there to look over the players that could be at his disposal should a switch happen. Or was this simply a scouting exercise? Concerned Supporter, Horsham Tuesday 4th October 2011 08:00:35 AM Will be back in no longer than 2 weeks and gagging to start playing again! So for you boys that aren't bothering to train...I'm taking your place in the team if you don't wanna work for it! A PLAYA, nearing a return from injury Wednesday 28th September 2011 11:30:57 AM Well done lads on the cup win! Let's carry the momentum into this weekends game and get those vital 3 points. Reza, U.K. Thursday 22nd September 2011 02:31:56 PM It's a shame Alfold aren't around to take Plaistow's unbeaten record off them for the second season running! The Riddler, Thursday 22nd September 2011 01:35:35 PM Great result at the weekend! Heard lots about it and the performances of key individuals. Will be there to watch the mighty Blue n White Army on the weekend! Dan, injured Monday 19th September 2011 02:10:37 PM Big game tommorow lads!lets all get up for it and fight from the first wistle!!!COME ON THE STOW!!!! plaistow no1, guildford Friday 16th September 2011 06:10:30 PM Shame you are not allowing freedom of speech on your guestbook, especially having made a point about hearing everyones "views". Whats the point in having this if people cant post things and make a point????? Waste of time Google Eye, Plaistow Friday 9th September 2011 11:39:00 AM Do like to see the guestbook being used. Love the banter and seeing what people put. Gives me something to read in those slow hours at work. As always anyone is welcome to post, but wont alow personal comments that are not in fun to be placed on here. Game two tomorrow, big game. Looking forward to seeing two new players in action. Marc, work Friday 9th September 2011 10:57:41 AM I have started in the team and i enjoy working with then. i started running 10k a day to work towards my fitness simon yeates, godalming Thursday 8th September 2011 08:48:40 PM Really enquiring as to if Sharpy still trains with you and when he will get his chance in the side?? Tony from Totnes, Kilmarnock Thursday 8th September 2011 08:51:49 AM loving the banter but we havnt even played our first game yet...maybe our local rival is getting a bit nervous about his season.div 5 is a tough league and the football season is a marathon not a sprint!!we all believe in marc aswell as ourselves...goodluck peter pan! plaistow no1, guildford Friday 2nd September 2011 06:43:36 PM Dear Mr Pan aka Peter... I'm a firm believer that if im not playing or training well that I should do not deserve a place in the starting squad, certainly no nervous vibes coming from me. It's a shame the boss can't work on a poilcy if you don't make it to training without an excuse you don't get in the saturday squad, Plaistow can't do that as we would have to forfeit the game on a weekly basis. See ya saturday "peter" New Centre Half, Horsham Friday 2nd September 2011 04:54:07 PM Local rivals, who? Wisborough? i doubt it, rumour is they will be folding. I put a question to the Chairman of Plaistow FC: If Marc Hobden does not secure promotion this time around, will Plaistow FC be looking for a new manager? Surely your patience can't be limitless? Peter Pan, Friday 2nd September 2011 01:54:32 PM Important start to this season this weekend. No team should be taken lightly and I hope Hobden will focus on every game the same. The competiton for places looks good this year. The league will be hard and tight like last year. Everyone will take points from each other. So consistancy is the key once more. I'm sure we will be playing our local rivals again next year!! The Plaistow Echo, Newcastle Wednesday 31st August 2011 02:43:35 PM "New Centre Half" do I detect a little nervousness around your chances of being selected? Marc is an able manager and i'm sure he'll make the right calls. He will be trying to rectify the massive errors he made last season. In relation to Saturday i'm sure any team he names will beat that lot. I won't expect a shock put it that way. Peter Pan, Wednesday 31st August 2011 01:57:02 PM Question: What do you think will be the starting line up on Saturday against Slindfold? Big squad this year, some haven't even got to training yet,we are certainly going to be fighting for our place in the team, lets hope the boss plays his strongest side. "New Centre Half", Horsham Tuesday 30th August 2011 07:21:52 PM Good to see Peter Pan adding his views. That is the good thing about the guestbook - everyone is entitled to add their views (within reason I am sure), which no doubt will create some interesting banter over the course of the season. I would imagine the Plaistownians are as rightly optimistic as most teams at this time of the year, as they were last year. However, that said, they seem to place as much emphasis on the social side as wining at all cost. which is a credit to the club Also, I must add that is fair play to the Management Team for bringing in some youth to develop within the squad this season. Allowing players to get back into football or giving players that weren't getting a chance elsewhere is something that Plaistow have done very well in over recent season. Its just a shame that other clubs have then picked these players off, thus preventing the club to smoothly kick on from the previous season. I look forward to seeing yet another new Plaistow team evolving again this season, and will be more optimistic of their chances than Peter and suggest that they will claim the runners up spot with the tightest defence in what will be another close league . I am also optimistic for them to have a good cup run this season. Wendy, Alfold Tuesday 30th August 2011 08:43:24 AM It's about time we got a guestbook from Plaistow FC! I have to say that I admire the Plaistownians for believing that realistically they can gain promotion or indeed win a cup; I thought that was the same last year, technically they had the team to push for honours but they fizzled out after boasting about their good start. Nevertheless, Marc has bought some young players in this season which is always a good start, that dodgy old defence has seen better days! I love predicting things so here goes, Div 5 Central: 1) Cowfold IV 2) Billingshurst III 3) Slinfold Res (uh hum!) 4) Horsham Baptists 5) Plaistow 4) Peter Pan, Thursday 25th August 2011 09:13:40 PM I am sure there are several things that have been going well for Plasitow, however i must voice a few concerns, for example; the managing style of Marc Hobden, but mainly the crap he stated i wrote on the guestbook, which makes me look odd and a little bit sexually confused. however this is not true, so i put to debate that Plasitow can do well, with the new signings and experinced players, like Carl. Although i must admit i have never seen him play, with a name like that greatness is only thing that can happen. This leaves me to say good luck with the season, but i will not be having people express their views though me. P.S. god bless you and do the churches bidding carl holdstock, Crawley Thursday 18th August 2011 05:39:49 PM I do consider myself one of Plaistows biggest fans, though I am a relatively new follower. I am very pleased with the current situation of the club and especially the addition of several new signings. However I still hold high regard for the more established players such as Gilling and Greaves. I see the team do great things this season and will be down often to cheer them on. COME ON THE STOW Carl Holdstock, Bergess Hill Thursday 18th August 2011 04:32:26 PM on behalf of me and all the new plaistow fc signings, we feel very proud and privelaged to be part of this club and we will all give 110% to get the team promoted this season. reguards Matt taylor and the new boys Matt taylor, plaistow Thursday 18th August 2011 02:32:06 PM Great to see that the core of the Plaistow team has stayed and some good new players have come in. Should be an exciting season! Daniel, Horsham Monday 15th August 2011 11:54:48 AM Really good to see all the new players at the club. Looks like they were all fitting in well at the weekend. Sam, Guildford Monday 15th August 2011 11:05:21 AM hello love you mark. Love you choc and chris x x charlotte brazier, billy Friday 12th August 2011 11:05:05 PM Come on lads big game tomorrow marc, loxwood Friday 12th August 2011 10:55:56 PM Hello and welcome to the new Plaistow FC guestbook.
